Stephen B. Goad graduated Magna cum Laude at West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a membership in Phi Beta Kappa, a national honorary society. He then studied law and earned his Juris Doctorate at the West Virginia University College of Law while working part-time in law firms in northern West Virginia and southern Pennsylvania.
After graduating from law school, Stephen worked in a law firm in southern West Virginia, primarily focusing on areas of law such as civil and criminal defense, wills and estates, domestic relations, real estate, and business transactions.
In 1989, Stephen moved to Charlotte and limited his practice to medical and legal negligence claims. He later took a leave of absence from the field of law to pursue other interests. He traveled to Ghana, Haiti (twice) and Malaysia on mission trips, volunteered, and also worked in a bicycle shop.
In 2005, Stephen joined Ted A. Greve & Associates, P.A., to work in the area of Social Security disability law.
This United States Navy veteran is also a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar, the North Carolina State Bar as well as the North Carolina Academy for Justice – Disability Advocacy Section. Stephen is also a National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representative.
Stephen is also a member of Charlotte’s Providence Baptist Church, and is a crew leader for the church’s Habitat for Humanity team and an Adult Sunday School teacher. When he is not at the office or in the courtroom, he also likes to spend his time cycling.
Stephen is licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
