52-Year Old Canton Man Killed While Crossing Street

Canton Man Killed While Crossing Street

It’s always important that we pay attention to pedestrians when we’re driving. This is especially true at night or during bad weather. The last thing you expect to do is hit someone while they’re crossing the street. This is what happened to a 52-year old Canton man last week who was killed while crossing the street.

The accident happened near 217 Riverstone Parkway. A man was trying to cross the street when a woman driving an SUV plowed into him. The man was killed instantly and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened at about 7:45 pm. It was dark, but there’s no indication that visibility was low. The name of the man who was killed has not been released. Nor has there been any comment from his family.

The woman driving the SUV that struck and killed the victim was a 64-year old woman from Canton, Georgia. The police are still investigating the crash. Her identity also has not been released yet. In fact, the reports aren’t clear as to whether or not the woman stopped to see if the victim was okay or not.

In situations like this, it can be hard to sort out what happened. There’s no indication that the man was doing anything wrong at the time of the crash. Nor has there been any indication that the driver of the SUV was impaired or negligent at the time of the accident. This is something the authorities are still trying to clear up.
