The police in Warner Robins, Georgia responded to reports of a two-car accident on Tuesday, November 2 at about 6:30 pm. When the police arrived at the scene of the fatal crash in Warner Robins, they found a motorcycle and an SUV both at rest on the side of Moody Road

Apparently, a man driving a 2003 Honda CBR 600 motorcycle was driving in the Northbound lanes of Moody Road. As he approached the intersection of Moody Road and Breckenridge Drive, another man driving a 2001 Chevy Tahoe was attempting to make a left hand turn onto Moody Rd from Breckenridge Drive.

As the SUV tried to navigate the left-hand turn, the motorcycle ended up smashing into the driver’s side rear end of the Tahoe. The man driving the Tahoe was 67-year-old Edward Haslem of Kathleen, Georgia. The driver of the motorcycle was 31-year-old Silvestre Herrera of Warner Robins, Georgia.

According to the authorities, the 31-year-old motorcycle driver sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. There was no indication that the other driver – Edward Haslem – was injured in the crash.

Today, it was confirmed that the 67-year-old driver was drunk at the time of the accident. He has been charged with DUI. The investigation is still ongoing. The police indicated that alcohol and speed both played a role in the fatal crash in Warner Robins. There has been no comment from the victim’s family at this time.

The family of the deceased driver, Silvestre Herrera, may have a potential claim for wrongful death. It will depend on what the final investigation reveals.
