Nobody ever wants to think that they could get seriously injured in a car crash. You’re on your way to work one minute and then, the next thing you know, you’re lying on the side of the road. If you’re lucky, you’ll walk away from the accident with minor bumps and bruises. If you’re not so lucky, you could suffer life-threatening injuries or even die. Woman crashes into a Burke County transit bus in Georgia.
This morning, at about 7 am, a woman was driving northbound on Highway 23 when she crashed into a Burke County transit bus. The bus was traveling southbound at the time of the accident. The investigation is still ongoing, however, authorities have confirmed that the woman driving the car was at fault.
At least 5 people on the bus were taken to the hospital. No information has been released as to their current condition. Their identifies have not been made available yet either. However, the woman who caused the accident has died. Given the fact that she drove into a bus going the opposite way, it is likely that she drove into the bus head-on.
There is limited information on the crash as it just happened a few hours ago. However, once the investigation is complete, the owner of the bus will surely want to review the accident report. The passengers on the bus are going to file a claim for damages against someone, more than likely the bus company. The bus company is going to want to pursue the woman’s insurance for the damages.
