Anderson Co., SC (May 12, 2024) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that one person lost their life as a result of a fatal accident that occurred in Anderson County on Friday, May 10.
Preliminary reports indicate that at around 11:45 p.m., 42-year-old Benjamin Holdbrooks was walking south on South Carolina Highway 81. For unknown reasons, he was struck by a 2014 Jeep SUV. Holdbrooks was severely injured in the crash and rushed to an area hospital. Authorities confirmed that he died after arriving. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
