Anderson, SC (April 8, 2024) – Emergency crews were requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the Anderson area that claimed one person’s life. The incident was reported to law enforcement at around 10:50 p.m. on April 6.
According to area law enforcement, a pedestrian was struck by a 2013 Hyundai Elantra on Interstate 85. Authorities arrived at the crash scene and located the injured pedestrian near mile marker 30. Emergency officials immediately shut down the roadway to prevent further injuries and damages. The pedestrian was severely hurt in the crash and subsequently pronounced deceased by authorities. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
