Colleton Co., SC (March 12, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Colton County on Saturday afternoon claimed one person’s life. The incident took place at approximately 2:45 p.m. on March 9.
Reports from the South Carolina Highway Patrol show that a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle occupied by two people was traveling northbound on Highway 17A. For reasons unknown, it collided with the southbound 2013 Chevrolet Malibu. The driver of the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries and was immediately pronounced deceased while at the scene. The passenger was injured and transported to an area hospital. The driver and passenger in the Chevrolet were also injured and transported to area hospitals for medical care. The incident is being investigated.
