Dearing, GA (April 22, 2024) – Emergency crews confirmed that 48-year-old Andrew Francis of Tamarac, Florida, lost his life as a result of an accident that occurred in Dearing, Georgia. The incident was reported to law enforcement at around 3:45 p.m. on April 19.
According to official reports, Francis was working on Old Whiteoak Road. Francis was utilizing a utility bucket truck to run a cable line in the area. A vehicle passing down the roadway struck the cable line and became entangled in it. As a result, Francis was pulled out of the utility truck, resulting in severe injuries. The Georgia State Patrol responded to the scene to assist. Due to the extent of injuries, Francis was pronounced deceased by the McDuffie County Coroner’s Office. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
