Doraville, GA (April 7, 2024) – Authorities confirmed that two people died as a result of a motor vehicle accident involving a train that occurred on Saturday morning, April 6. The DeKalb County Police Department and the DeKalb County Fire and Rescue Department responded to the scene of the accident, which occurred on Flowers Road.
Preliminary reports indicate that a train and an unknown number of vehicles were involved in a collision on Flowers Road near School Drive in Doraville at around 8:00 a.m. Authorities arrived at the scene and immediately shut down a portion of the roadway while assisting. Two people involved in the crash suffered fatal injuries. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene. One additional victim was injured in the crash and rushed to a local hospital for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
