Edgefield, SC (March 20, 2024) – The Edgefield County coroner’s office identified 65-year-old Holly Riedel of Bloom branch, South Carolina, as the victim of the fatal accident that occurred on Monday morning, March 18. The South Carolina Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of the accident at around 7:30 a.m.
According to official reports, a 2010 Toyota minivan was heading northbound on Martintown Road. At the same time, a 1996 Chevrolet coupe was traveling southbound on Martintown Road. For reasons unknown, the Toyota attempted to make a turn onto Garrett Road and collided with the Chevrolet head-on. The driver of the Chevrolet was fatally injured as a result of the accident. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
