Fayetteville, NC (January 21, 2024) – A woman lost her life as a result of a fatal head-on collision that occurred on Wednesday, January 17. The accident was reported to law enforcement at approximately 5:07 p.m.
According to reports provided by the Fayetteville Police Department, a motor vehicle collision occurred on Ramsey Street in the area near Peace Street. Further investigations show that a white 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling northbound on Ramsey Road when it collided with a 2003 gold Hyundai Elantra. The driver of the Elantra, identified as 72-year-old Wanda Eldridge, was injured in the accident. She was transported to an area hospital, where she died from her injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
