Georgetown, SC (March 19, 2024) – On Sunday morning, the South Carolina Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a fatal accident that occurred during the morning hours. Events unfolded at around 10:10 a.m. On March 17.
According to official reports, a bicyclist and a Toyota sedan were both traveling northbound on South Carolina Highway 51. For unknown reasons, the Toyota crashed into the back of the bicyclist, causing the rider to be thrown from their bicycle. The bicyclist, who has not been identified to the public, was fatally injured. The victim was pronounced deceased by authorities. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident.
