Johnston Co., NC (January 21, 2024) – A multivehicle accident reported on Sunday in Johnston County claimed one person’s life. The incident prompted the response of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
According to authorities, a woman was operating a vehicle while traveling southbound on Interstate 95 during the afternoon hours. For unknown reasons, the vehicle collided with a black pickup truck and a second vehicle on the road. Two people were seriously injured as a result of the accident. One person involved in the accident suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased by authorities. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation.
