Laurens Co., SC (June 14, 2024) – A pedestrian has died as a result of a fatal accident that took place in Lawrence County. The crash was reported to the South Carolina Highway Patrol at around 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12.
Official reports indicate that a total of four pedestrians were in the median of Interstate 385, near mile marker 12, for unknown reasons. A Honda Civic traveling down the roadway struck the pedestrians for unknown reasons. One of the victims was pronounced deceased at the scene. One of the other victims was severely injured and airlifted from the site of the accident and flown to an area hospital for emergency care. Two additional victims were transported by EMS to area hospitals. The driver of the Honda did not suffer any injuries. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
