Lee Co., GA (May 19, 2024) – A fatal accident reported in Lee County on Friday morning claimed one person’s life. The Georgia State Patrol was notified of the accident at around 5:25 a.m. on May 17.
According to law enforcement, a collision involving a car hauler and one additional vehicle took place on US Highway 19 N. The incident prompted officials to close off a portion of the roadway while assisting. One person involved in the accident, who was loading the car hauler at the time of the crash, was fatally injured. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
