Lincoln Co., NC (April 12, 2024) – A fatal bicycle accident reported in Lincoln County on Wednesday evening claimed one person’s life. The accident occurred at around 9:00 p.m. on April 10.
According to official reports, a bicyclist was riding eastbound on North Carolina 182 when they were struck by a 2016 Jeep Cherokee near Sorells Baxter Road. The bicyclist was severely hurt in the crash. Despite medical efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased as a result of their injuries. The bicyclist was later identified as 59-year-old Timothy Mark Eaker. No other injuries were reported. The accident is currently being investigated.
