Orangeburg Co., SC (November 25, 2023) – A fatal accident reported in Orangeburg County on Wednesday claimed one person’s life. The accident occurred just after 3:00 p.m. on November 23.
According to law enforcement, a 2014 Mazda was traveling south on US Highway 301. For unknown reasons, the vehicle collided with a 2003 Honda near Carriage Hill Road. The incident left both vehicles with significant damage.
One person was rushed to an area hospital for emergency medical care. A second victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the incident is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
