Spartanburg Co., SC (June 7, 2024) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that one person died as a result of a fatal accident that occurred on Wednesday afternoon, June 5. The collision took place at around 2:30 p.m.
Official reports indicate that a 2023 Lexus SUV was traveling on Gano Road during the afternoon hours. As the vehicle proceeded through the intersection of Silver Lake Road, it collided with a 2007 Toyota SUV, which was traveling southbound. The driver of the Lexus was injured in the crash and transported to an area hospital. The driver of the Toyota, identified as 31-year-old Dennis Chang Thao, was pronounced deceased by authorities. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
