Summerville, NC (February 18, 2024) – just after 3:00 p.m. on February 15, emergency personnel with the Summerville-Bunnlevel Fire and Rescue assisted police at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that claimed one woman’s life.
According to official reports, a Dodge Dakota pickup truck and a Honda HRV collided head-on at the intersection of Wire Rd and Nutgrass Rd. The driver of the Honda, identified as Angel Covington, incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Dodge driver, Jacob Matthew Boahn, was injured. He was transported to Cape Fear Valley Hospital, where he was admitted in serious condition. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
