Fatal Car Accidents in South Carolina
Fatal car accidents occur daily in the United States, with over 42,000 reported deaths annually, including many unfortunate incidents in South Carolina. It’s disheartening to realize that a significant number of these accidents are entirely preventable.
Distracted driving, such as texting or using a phone while driving, diverts the driver’s attention from the road, leading to devastating outcomes. Regrettably, distractions rank as one of the primary causes of accidents in our state. Speeding is another key factor that heightens the risk of losing control and crashing. Speeding drivers are more prone to losing control of their vehicles and colliding with others. Moreover, the impact force in high-speed collisions escalates the severity of the crashes. Additionally, accidents often result from impaired drivers, reckless lane changes, and other negligent behaviors.
