Gray Court, SC (October 30, 2023) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that 37-year-old Michael Joshua Ballengee of Enoree, South Carolina, lost his life as a result of the pedestrian accident that occurred in Lawrence County.
Highway Patrol officials responded to the scene of the crash at around 6:30 a.m. on October 28.
According to reports provided by Highway Patrol troopers, a Kia was traveling westbound on South Carolina Highway 14. As the vehicle proceeded through the intersection of Back Street, it struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian sustained severe injuries due to the crash. Authorities subsequently pronounced the victim deceased.
At this time, the South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
