Darlington Co., SC (January 29, 2024) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that a pedestrian died as a result of a fatal accident that took place in Darlington County on Sunday evening, January 28.
Just before 6:30 p.m., the Highway Patrol troopers were called to the scene of a crash that occurred in the lumbar area. Investigations show that a 2015 Chrysler 200 was traveling northbound on the highway when it struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian was fatally injured in the crash and pronounced deceased at the scene. No one in the Chrysler sustained injuries in the accident. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
