Aiken, SC (January 6, 2024) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that an 18-year-old lost their life as a result of a fatal accident that took place in Aiken County. The automobile accident was reported at around 12:15 a.m. on January 6.
According to official reports, a collision took place on Schley Street in the area near Monroe Street. One of the vehicles involved in the accident, a 2000 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, struck a culvert and overturned. The driver of the vehicle, 18-year-old Tanner Miller of Graniteville, South Carolina, was ejected from the vehicle. Miller sustained fatal injuries due to the crash and was immediately pronounced deceased at the scene by the Aiken County Coroner’s Office. The circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
