Cary, NC (January 6, 2024) – A 73-year-old woman lost her life as a result of an automobile accident that took place in Cary, North Carolina. The police and firefighters were notified of the crash at approximately 430 p.m. on January 4.
According to official reports, a Toyota Avalon and a Ford pickup truck collided on 1010 Road at the intersection of Plumtree Way. The incident left the Toyota severely damaged. Firefighters responded to the scene and had to remove the roof of the vehicle in order to take the woman out of it. The woman, identified as Janice Sanders-Portier, of Garner, North Carolina, was severely injured. She was rushed to an area hospital, where she passed away from her injuries. The pickup truck driver, a 38-year-old man from Sanford, North Carolina, was not injured. The accident is under investigation at this time.
