Robert Herford was born and raised in Charlotte, NC where he attended Charlotte Catholic High School playing varsity football, lacrosse, and golf. He left Charlotte for Columbia, SC when he began his studies at the University of South Carolina, receiving his Bachelor of Arts in History, and maintaining several leadership roles in his fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega.

After graduating early from South Carolina, Robert moved further south to Charleston, where he received his Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law in 2015. Amidst the history and culture of King St. Charleston, Robert found his calling in litigation. As a member of Trial Advocacy Board, Robert won one internal mock trial competition and advanced to the Regional finals in the American Association of Justice National Competition. Robert clerked in civil litigation at the Bollinger Law Firm, P.C. and did criminal work at the Richland County Public Defender’s Office. Robert also participated in South Carolina’s Judicial Observation Experience, shadowing Judge Thomas Russo in Lexington, SC. After graduating from law school, Robert returned home to Charlotte where he worked in finance for a year until he joined the Law Offices of Jason E. Taylor as a North Carolina attorney in September of 2016.

After joining the Law Offices of Jason E. Taylor, Robert handled both litigation and pre-litigation cases including motor vehicle accidents, dog bites, fraud claims, State Tort Claims, property damage claims and unfair and deceptive trade practices. By handling a wide variety of cases, Robert has gained invaluable insight into different injuries, evaluating cases, and advocating for his clients to ensure the best possible result.

Robert joined the Law Offices of Ted A. Greve in March of 2019 to work in the personal injury department with a focus on litigation. Robert has appeared in numerous counties all over North Carolina in Superior and District Court, and Small Claims. While there may be similarities between cases, every case is different and cannot be approached with a “cookie cutter” mentality. There is no magic formula to resolving your case, however Robert will use his varied experience to ensure that your case is fully and effectively pursued.

Robert is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates forum, one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States.  Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements.  Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members.

Robert believes that having an attorney protect your rights and interests can go to great lengths to make sure that you, the injured person, are the one that is made as whole as possible.

Robert lives in Charlotte with his beautiful wife Macaira and black lab Jackson. Macaira, originally from Florence, SC, is a pediatric nurse at the Levine Children’s Hospital and, like Robert, is a diehard Carolina Panthers and South Carolina Gamecock fan. Robert is also a coach at Crossfit Pineville and is very active in the CrossFit community in and around Charlotte.
