Augusta, GA (April 30, 2024) – The Richmond County Coroner’s Office confirmed that 60-year-old Robert Brown has lost his life as a result of a moped accident that occurred early Sunday morning, August 28. The collision was reported to law enforcement at around 1205 a.m.
According to official reports, Brown was riding a moped north on Peach Orchard Road. As he proceeded through the area of Harold Road, a vehicle turned in front of him. As a result, the two vehicles collided. Brown was severely injured in the crash. He was transported to Wellstar MCG Health Hospital, where he died from his injuries. No other injuries were reported as a result of the accident. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
