Charlotte, NC (February 16, 2024) – One person lost their life as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred early Saturday morning. The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department was called to the scene of the accident at approximately 1:45 a.m.
According to official reports, a Chevrolet Outlander and a Honda Accord collided on Central Avenue near North Sharon Amity Road. The impact of the crash caused the Chevrolet to overturn and come to rest on its passenger side. One person was partially ejected from the Chevrolet, resulting in severe injuries. The victim, identified as Abigail Ramirez Romero, was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene. Two other victims were injured and transported to area hospitals for further medical care. At this time, the police department is investigating.
