Fatal Accidents in Georgia
Fatal accidents in Georgia claimed the lives of more than 1700 people annually. Regrettably, many of these accidents are completely preventable. There are instances when people lose their lives as a result of trees and other objects falling on the roadway. In Georgia, the government is required to maintain the landscape along our highways. Homeowners are also required to ensure that the landscape on their property is properly maintained. When either party is negligent in maintaining trees and other landscapes and falls onto the roadway, they may be held liable for any injuries, death, or damages.
Losing a loved one due to a fatal crash is a devastating experience, but families have the option of seeking justice and financial relief through a wrongful death claim. Not only does this legal action cover funeral costs, lost earning capacity, and property damage, but it also holds the responsible party accountable for their actions. It is crucial to seek the guidance of a wrongful death lawyer immediately after such a loss in order to build the strongest case possible. Though nothing can replace your loved one, taking legal action can help bring some closure and support during this difficult time.
