Conway, SC (January 17, 2024) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that 29-year-old Antonio De La Torre Mendez lost his life as a result of an automobile accident that took place in Conway. The accident was reported to officials at around 10 a.m. on Monday, January 15.
According to authorities, a 2004 Ford Ranger was traveling eastbound on Adrian Highway. For reasons unknown, the vehicle collided with a 2023 Dodge Ram pickup truck, which was traveling south on Highway 19. The impact of the crash caused the Ranger to go off the roadway and overturned. One person involved in the accident, identified as De La Torre Mendez, was fatally injured. At this time, the South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
