Durham, NC (March 17, 2024) – One person lost their life as a result of a fatal collision that occurred in the Durham area on Hillsborough Road. The incident occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m. on March 16.
According to official reports, a pedestrian was struck by the number 72 train during the afternoon hours while traveling in the 3500 block of Hillsborough Road. Authorities arrived at the scene and shut down the roadway near cold milk roads as they provided assistance. The pedestrian, who has not been publicly identified, was fatally injured.
