DeKalb Co., GA (March 17, 2024) – A fatal motor vehicle accident reported on Friday claimed one person’s life. According to official reports, just before 3:30 p.m. on March 15, calls for help came in regarding an automobile accident on South Stone Mountain Lithonia Road.
Official reports indicate that a sedan and a DeKalb County sanitation truck collided head-on on the roadway near Coffee Road. The driver of the sedan, identified as an adult female, was fatally injured. She was pronounced deceased on site. The driver of the garbage truck was injured and transported to an area hospital. The accident is under investigation.
