Ladson, SC (March 4, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Berkeley County claimed one person’s life early Saturday morning, March 2. The accident occurred at around 2:20 a.m.
According to official reports, a 2000 Jeep SUV collided with a second vehicle on Interstate 26 near mile marker 203. The incident prompted the closure of the westbound lanes of the roadway. A passenger in one of the vehicles was fatally injured. The victim was pronounced deceased on site. One driver was transported to a local hospital for emergency medical care. At this time, the crash is under investigation. We hope the injured victim recovers quickly.
