Macon, GA (March 27, 2024) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Willard Gilbow lost his life as a result of a fatal accident that occurred on Monday evening in West Macon. The Sheriff’s office and firefighters were called to the scene of the incident at around 5:30 p.m. on March 25.
According to official reports, Gilbow was riding a motorcycle in the area of Cavalier Drive and Columbus Road during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, his vehicle collided with a BMW X3. Gilbow was severely injured as a result of the accident. EMS transported him to Atrium Health Navicent for emergency treatment. Authorities confirmed that he passed away from his injuries. At this time, investigations are underway.
