Marlboro Co., SC (January 7, 2024) – A man from North Carolina lost his life as a result of an automobile accident that took place in Monroe County on Monday. Authorities were notified of the crash at around 12:20 p.m. on January 1.
Reports provided by the South Carolina Highway Patrol indicate that a pickup truck was involved in a collision with an undisclosed number of vehicles on Pea Bridge Road in the area near McGuirt Road. The pickup truck went off the side of the roadway due to the collision, where it collided with the ditch. The driver of the vehicle, identified as 64-year-old Keith Dennis Turner, was ejected from the vehicle. Turner was severely hurt in the crash. Authorities arrived at the scene to render aid to the victim. However, he was pronounced deceased due to the extent of his injuries. The accident is currently under investigation.
