Decatur, GA (October 21, 2023) – A motorcycle accident report and indicator on Wednesday claimed one person’s life. On October 18, the Decatur Police Department was notified that an accident occurred on College Avenue.
According to reports, 24-year-old Jarrett Jeanty was driving a motorcycle in the area of College Avenue and Weeks Street at around 11:30 a.m. For unknown reasons, his Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a Hyundai Elantra at the intersection. The impact of the collision caused the motorcycle to catch on fire.
The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
On Thursday, October 19, the police confirmed that Jeanty passed away from his injuries.
No other injuries were reported in the crash.
The incident is being investigated at this time by the Decatur Police Department.
