Asheville, NC (October 21, 2023) – The Asheville Police Department confirmed that 46-year-old Jason Matthew Perry lost his life as a result of a fatal accident that occurred on Wednesday.
On October 18, the police and firefighters were called to the scene of an accident on Sweeten Creek Road. According to officials, a northbound motorcycle was involved in a collision on the roadway during the evening hours. A passing motorist, identified as Perry, stopped to provide assistance to the victim at the scene.
For reasons unknown, another vehicle traveling southbound struck Perry. He suffered fatal injuries due to the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers.
At this time, the Asheville Police Department is investigating.
