Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Georgia
Each year, a significant number of people lose their lives as a result of motor vehicle accidents in our state. These accidents often take place as a result of drivers who are reckless while behind the wheel. Leading factors in fatal collisions that take place in our state each year include:
- Impaired Driving: Despite strict laws that are in place to prevent intoxicated drivers from entering our roadways, some still make the irresponsible choice to get behind the wheel, often leading to tragic consequences for other motorists.
- Speeding: Many accidents within our state can be attributed to drivers exceeding legal speed limits. The consequences of speeding can be catastrophic for other drivers sharing the road, particularly in adverse weather conditions.
- Distracted Driving: Numerous accidents are a result of drivers who were texting or talking on their phones while behind the wheel.
