Mountain City, GA (November 1, 2023) – A motorcycle accident reported in Mountain City claimed one man’s life.
The accident took place during the evening hours on October 29.
According to authorities, 38-year-old Nathanael Vanesse of Canon, Georgia, was riding a Harley FLHX in the area of Georgia Highway 15/US Highway 441. For unknown reasons, 69-year-old Sara Youngblood attempted to turn her Ford Explorer left in front of the motorcycle, causing the two vehicles to collide.
The impact of the crash caused the motorcyclist to be ejected from his vehicle. The victim was fatally injured.
Youngblood was injured in the crash and transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia, for treatment.
The incident is being investigated at this time by the Georgia State Patrol’s Troop B Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT).
