Crisp Co., GA (November 4, 2023) – On Saturday evening, the Georgia Highway Patrol confirmed that one person lost their life as a result of a fatal collision.
The accident was reported at around 7:30 p.m.
Georgia State Highway Patrol troopers’ reports show that a 2021 slingshot was traveling on Georgia Highway 300 when a 2015 Ford F-150 superduty pickup truck pulled in front of the vehicle. As a result, the Slingshot driver was forced to apply the brakes. A 2016 Mercedes GL 450 was traveling behind the Slingshot and was not able to stop in time to avoid crashing into the rear of the vehicle.
The incident prompted authorities to close the roadway near Old Avenue Road.
The slingshot driver, 49-year-old Ishmael Tshombe Williams of Locust Grove, Georgia, was fatally hurt and pronounced deceased after being transported to a local hospital.
The incident is currently being investigated.
Our condolences are with the family of Ishmael Tshombe Williams at this time.
