Fatal Fires in Georgia
Dealing with the unexpected loss of a loved one can be incredibly challenging. Unfortunately, fatal fire incidents are the cause of countless deaths across our state each year. After experiencing the loss of a loved one, your family has the opportunity to file a wrongful death claim against the responsible party. This type of legal action can help you recover financial compensation for many of the damages you face. Some of the damages you can request compensation for include:
- Funeral and burial costs: It is important that your family has the financial resources needed to cover the cost of funeral arrangements for your loved one. A wrongful death claim can help you obtain money for funeral and burial expenses to ease some of the stress you face.
- Lost wages: After losing a loved one, your family may experience a significant loss in financial resources. If your loved one was the breadwinner for the family, you can request compensation to alleviate the impact that your family faces from lost wages.
- Medical expenses: If your loved one incurred any medical expenses prior to their passing, you have the opportunity to seek compensation to alleviate the costs that you face for any related medical expenses from the time of the accident to the time that your loved one passed away.
To ensure you have the best chance of getting justice, it is imperative that you seek legal representation from a wrongful death lawyer right away. Your attorney will be able to build a case on your behalf and fight for the maximum possible compensation.
