Raleigh, NC (November 10, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident reported early Friday morning claimed the life of a pedestrian in the Raleigh area. The Raleigh Police Department was notified of the crash at around 4:30 a.m. on November 10.
RPD reports show that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on New Bern Avenue. Authorities closed down the roadway between Poole Road and Riley Boulevard.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident fled the scene. The pedestrian, who has not been identified to the public, suffered fatal injuries. The victim, identified as a male pedestrian, was fatally injured and pronounced deceased on site.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
