Charlotte, NC (November 20, 2023) – One person has died following a motor vehicle accident in the Charlotte area on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on November 18.
According to law enforcement reports, a collision between vehicles occurred on the northbound side of Interstate 85. The incident prompted officials to close off the roadway near Interstate 485 as they provided assistance.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation reported the closure of the roadway for around three hours as they assisted at the scene. At least one person sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced deceased. At this time, investigations into the crash are underway.
