Fatal Car Crashes in South Carolina
Every day, fatal accidents take place to have a devastating impact on the lives of families. Unfortunately, many of the fatal collisions reported right here in our state are preventable. Careless and reckless actions continue to contribute to a significant portion of the vehicle collisions that occur on our roads. Some of the most common causes of these accidents include:
- Failing to Yield: Even though we have laws in place to allow vehicles to proceed forward when they have the right-of-way, we continue to see vehicles fail to allow them to do so. As a result, these reckless drivers crash into innocent people and ultimately take their lives.
- Speeding: Our state has a designated speed limit for every road in it. These speeds are designed to provide individuals with guidelines determining how fast they can travel safely on our roads without experiencing any issues. Unfortunately, it is also common for drivers to exceed these limits and cause devastating collisions.
- Distractions: It is imperative that drivers always remain focused on the road ahead. They should be alert and aware of their surroundings. Unfortunately, we see many fatal collisions take place as a result of drivers who are texting on their phones, talking to others, and even eating while behind the wheel.
These negligent and reckless actions continue to take the lives of innocent people every single day.
