Moncks Corner, SC (November 29, 2023) – A pedestrian was fatally injured in a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Monday evening in Moncks Corner. The incident took place at around 11:00 p.m. on November 27.
According to local law enforcement, 44-year-old Eugene Kelly Jr., was attempting to cross the roadway in the vicinity of Black Tom Road and Cane Bay Boulevard during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, he was struck by a semi-truck. The incident prompted authorities to shut down the roadway while assisting. Kelly was fatally injured as a result of the accident and pronounced deceased on-site. The incident is currently being investigated.
