Charlotte, NC (December 12, 2023) – The Charlotte Police Department confirmed that 43-year-old Hector Domingo Medrano Orellana lost his life as a result of a fatal collision that occurred on Sunday evening. The police and firefighters were notified of the crash at around 9:30 p.m. on December 10.
According to official reports, a collision took place on Monroe Road. Further investigations determined that Orellana was driving along Monroe Road when his vehicle collided head-on with a Mazda in the area near Woodberry Road. The incident blocked the roadway, causing severe delays in the area.
The driver of the Mazda was injured in the crash. The victim was transported to an area hospital for emergency care. Orellana endured fatal injuries as a result of the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the police department is investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
