Duplin Co., NC (December 13, 2023) – Emergency crews were all requested at the scene of an automobile accident that took place in Dublin County during the early morning hours. At around 5:15 a.m. on December 10, the North Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash on Highway 41.
Crash investigations show that 35-year-old Kimberlynn Perez was driving a Chevrolet Equinox on the highway when she became involved in a collision near Rivenbarktown Road. As a result of the collision, the vehicle went off the roadway and struck a tree. Perez was fatally injured and died while at the scene. Investigations into the crash are currently ongoing.
