Augusta, GA (December 21, 2023) – One person lost their life as a result of an automobile accident that occurred on Wednesday evening in Richmond County. The crash occurred at around 6:40 p.m. on December 20.
Reports from the Richmond County Sheriff’s office indicate that a semi-truck tractor-trailer was involved in a rear-end collision with a second vehicle on Gordon Highway in the area of Tubman Home Road. The driver of the second vehicle sustained fatal injuries due to the crash. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene at approximately 7:20 p.m. by the Richmond County coroner’s office. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the collision are being investigated.
