Cherokee Co., SC (January 1, 2024) – A major motor vehicle accident reported on New Year’s Day claimed the lives of two teenagers. The accident was reported to the South Carolina Highway Patrol just after midnight on Monday, January 1.
According to reports provided by authorities, a motor vehicle collision involving a 2010 Honda took place on Old Post Road. Further investigations determined that the Honda was involved in a T-bone collision with a 2020 Infiniti in the area near Jennie’s Lane. The force of the collision caused a front-seat passenger to be ejected from the vehicle. Two people involved in the accident, identified as 18-year-old Ashlyn Blake Jones and 18-year-old Gabriel Evan Allison, were both fatally injured in the crash. The two victims were pronounced deceased from their injuries. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
