Columbus, GA (January 10, 2024) – A hit-and-run accident reported in Columbia claimed the life of a 29-year-old woman from Columbus. The accident was reported by authorities during the early morning hours on January 6.
Reports from the Columbus Police Department show that a pedestrian was walking in the area of Old Cusseta Road and Cusseta Road when they were struck by a vehicle. The victim, identified as Seadrina Cook, was severely hurt in the crash. Cook was pronounced deceased as a result of her injuries at around 3:00 a.m. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene of the crash without stopping. The Columbus Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
