Greer, SC (January 24, 2024) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that one person lost their life as a result of a fatal collision that occurred in Greenville County. The accident took place during the afternoon hours on Monday, January 22.
According to reports provided by state troopers, a pickup truck was traveling south on Fairview Road. For unknown reasons, it went off the right side of the road and struck an SUV near Dolerite Drive. The truck then crossed over the center line of Fairview Road and sideswiped one additional vehicle before striking a tree. One person suffered significant injuries as a result of the accident. The victim was transported by ambulance to an area hospital, where they later passed away from their injuries. The Greenville County coroner’s office has not yet publicly identified the victim. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
